David Tian, Founder of T18N

David Tian

Founder

David started his career in banking and finance 20 years ago. His first stop was with Great Eastern Life as a Sales Agent, where he planned and structured his clients' insurance and financial needs. As his clients' needs became more sophisticated, he moved on to banking at several of the world's largest financial institutions, with his last stop being Bank of Singapore.

At the behest of his clients to manage their portfolios privately and to procure private equity opportunities in promising industries, David started T18N after retiring from banking in 2016. As activity in the private equity space increased, his network grew to include business owners looking to retire or move their companies to the next stage.

In response to his substantial inventory of sound, mature companies keen for investments or exit, David assembled a robust base of listed companies from mature economies providing an array of opportunities to his network.

Prakash has built, sold, and listed companies and has had a fair share of failures along the way. He was one of the founders of Yolk, a digital agency acquired by WPP in 2011, and was involved in expanding their presence in ASEAN before exiting the business in 2014. Following his exit, he has been involved in the start-up ecosystem as a Fund Raiser for early stage and growth stage companies, and has guided many companies through trade sales or capital markets exits.

Prakash has a special interest in Fintech and Foodtech and has been actively involved in the Digital Assets and Blockchain industry. He strongly believes in the power of redemptive Entrepreneurship and the ability of ethical capitalism to be a change catalyst.

Prakash has also been active in the grassroots and community, serving as Co-Chair of the Social Development Network Council and as a 3rd-term District Councillor with North East CDC.
